The Team

In this lab, WE BELIEVE:

SCIENCE is real,

LOVE is love,

BLACK LIVES matter,

FEMINISM is for everyone,

GENES are cool,

IMMIGRANTS are welcome.

Henny-1.jpg

Henriette O'Geen

Assoc. Project Scientist

Henny's research interests focus on understanding the role of epigenetic features during human development and disease and to use this knowledge to alter the epigenome as it relates to human disease.

Nick Heath

PhD candidate

Research interests include molecular biology, synthetic biology, mechanism-focused protein evolution, protein engineering, and mathematical modeling of biophysical processes with an emphasis on the development of diagnostic and therapeutic tools to serve the academic community and medical field.

Oran.jpg

Oran Gutierrez

PhD candidate

Oran is interested in CTCF loops, specifically loops in Angelman Syndrome locus and the possibility to target them with CRISPR/Cas9.

Works also in the LaSalle Lab.
